Classes run the way music is learnt at home: sitting together, listening to the teacher, singing or playing back, and trying again until it settles. You learn at your own pace, and nobody is rushed to keep up.
With at most seven students in a batch, your teacher knows where each of you is and what to work on next. Sankranti Music Academy has taught music this way in Udupi for over 47 years, across three generations of teachers.
“Sankranti means ‘Some Kranti’ – a small revolution in the world of music. Our aim is to bring innovative ideas and new ways of learning, creating, and experiencing music while staying connected to its roots.”
